Can you spare a few hours a week to help FareShare Hull & Humber deliver surplus food to charities and community groups across the region?
We are currently recruiting volunteer drivers and drivers’ mates who are passionate about reducing food waste and supporting the local community.
A typical day as a volunteer driver/ drivers mate involves
8am Arrive at depot and begin to load the orders onto the van.
8:30-9am Leave the depot and start the deliveries. The amount can vary day by day but there will be on average around 8 orders.
12:00 Stop for a lunch break, paid for by FareShare.
12:30 Continue on delivery run.
2pm Collect surplus donations on return to depot if needed.
2:30pm Unload empty trays at depot and return delivery notes. Opportunity to access the FareShare pantry
