Rob Emmerson

Operations Manager

Rob originally joined Fareshare in 2013 as a volunteer, coming in two days a week. The opportunity came along for a warehouse apprentice that he completed and was then taken on as a fulltime member of staff. Since then Rob has worked his way through several roles and is now the Operations Manager of the warehouse. Robs role is to make sure that the operations of the building runs smoothly which includes taking all the goods in and goods out, ensuring that the picking and packing of orders gets is completed for the next day delivery, all whilst working closely with the EHO to ensure that everything is safe.

Alex Yates

Office Manager

Alex joined the FareShare team in August 2015 as an administrator apprentice and upon completion has worked her way to Office Manager. Alex is the first point of contact for most Community Food Members and has an excellent knowledge of stock, orders and members. Alex’s main roles include logging all incoming stock, process orders for all 140 + CFMs each week, deal with telephone enquiries and organising surplus collections to reduce waste. Alex is also completing her L3 Accounting qualifications and supports our finance department with invoices.

Dave Ellis

Volunteer Manager

Dave joined the FareShare team in 2019 as the Volunteer Manager and Employability Training Lead. Dave has over 15 years in education and training in warehousing, customer service, retail, employability skills and team leadership, which he uses to support and encourage all volunteers and learners at FareShare. As well as supporting the volunteers on a daily basis, Dave is responsible for running the employability training courses that FareShare run, to aid people into work with a warehouse setting. Dave’s role allows him to meet a lot of new people and make connections with other organisations which is very beneficial to FareShare.

Conor Parkinson

Apprentice

Conor joined the FareShare team in 2022 through ThisAbility project at Goodwin, and then moved onto the CLLD Get into Warehousing project which he completed, gaining his FLT forklift license. Conor has now enrolled onto a L2 apprenticeship in Warehousing and storage. His main role is to support our Warehouse Supervisor with goods in,  picking and packing orders and having them ready for delivery.
