Hello Food Hero!

Your help during previous food collections has been invaluable, and sign-ups for this summer’s Tesco Food Collection are now open!

From Thursday 30th July until Saturday 2nd July, volunteers for FareShare will collect long-life food in Tesco stores across the UK and Northern Ireland as part of a special Tesco Food Collection. 

We need just three hours of your time to encourage more shoppers to donate much needed long-life food. In that time, you could help us collect enough food for 600 meals! 

Food donated by Tesco customers during the collection will go to support local charities supplied by FareShare, Food Banks, and holiday clubs providing healthy meals and activities to youngsters outside of term time. With the cost of living rising and thousands of people struggling to make ends meet, volunteering now is a tangible way you can provide support!

This year marks the 10th anniversary of the food collection, and we'd like to collect as much food as possible in celebration. We can’t do it without your help! And of course, Tesco will once again top up customer donations made in store by 20% in cash to aid FareShare in their work. 

To sign up, go to fareshare.org.uk/foodcollection/ and type in your postcode. Here, you will be shown participating Tesco stores in your area and be able to book yourself onto a shift. Any stores not shown on the map may be assigned to our charity partner The Trussell Trust.
