Ensuring no good food goes to waste, Leven have collected just over 4000kg of food from store. With this they have managed to provide the community with an equivalent to 9000 meals since 2017! After closing at the start of the pandemic they soon realised the impact of the food they were collecting not going out. Leven resumed their collections to ensure food that would have been wasted could go to the community and to those who needed it.
Encouraging people to pop by while they are doing their daily exercise to pick up fresh veg and other ambient food items, following the guidelines from the government. Leven’s efforts to ensure good food is not wasted and ensuring their community is well look after have not gone unnoticed. They are a true credit to the community. Thank You
