FareShare Hull & Humber, Hull City Council, Hull FC & Hull KR would like to invite you to support one of our recent projects- Teaming up for Families. The aim of the project is to encourage fans of the two major rugby teams in Hull to bring along ambient food donations when they attend the matches, which will then be used to support families within the city that are struggling with food poverty or insecurity.
The first round of collections at the matches in April proved to be a huge success- a whopping 72 trays worth of food was donated by the generous public. This food was then redistributed by FareShare to 9 schools across the city, to help support families who are struggling.
Following this success, we arranged two more collection days-
Saturday 17th August Hull FC
Sunday 8th September Hull KR
If you are attending these matches and would like to contribute to our food collection, please bring along just one tinned item. If every fan donated just one tin we would collect a massive 37,000 tins!
Please note* All donations must be in date. No fresh, chilled or frozen products will be accepted.
